Heating & cooling · West Waco

The right size system starts with where your heat comes from.

Eagle Rock installs, repairs and maintains heating and air conditioning for Waco homes and businesses — and sizes every new system from the building, not from a rule of thumb.

Businesses

For your building.

Offices, shops, restaurants, churches and clinics. Rooftop units and split systems serviced and replaced — and when a building is remodelled or re-tenanted, the load recalculated so the new equipment fits the new use.

Why size matters

Bigger isn't better. Right is better.

Too small

Runs all afternoon

Never quite catches up on the hottest days.

Right-sized

Long, steady cycles

Cools and dries the air evenly, room to room.

Too big

Short, loud bursts

Cools fast, switches off before it removes humidity — cold and clammy.

Questions

Before you replace anything.

Should my new AC be the same size as the old one?

Not necessarily. The old unit may have been sized wrong, and the house may have changed since with new windows, insulation or an added room. A load calculation tells you what the building needs now.

What is a load calculation?

A room-by-room account of how much heat a building gains in summer and loses in winter, based on its windows, insulation, air tightness, ducts and use. For homes the industry method is ACCA Manual J.

Why is my house cold but clammy?

Often an oversized system: it cools the air quickly and shuts off before it has run long enough to remove humidity. We check sizing, airflow and run times before recommending a fix.

Do you work on businesses as well as homes?

Yes. Offices, shops, restaurants, churches and clinics: rooftop units, split systems, maintenance, and load recalculation when a space changes use.

Does Eagle Rock do finishes or painting?

No. Finishes is part of the business name, not the trade. Eagle Rock does heating, ventilation and air conditioning only.

Which areas do you cover?

Waco, Woodway, Hewitt, Lorena, Valley Mills, Crawford, Moody and West.

Thinking about a new system?

Let's size it properly.

An estimate starts with the building — windows, attic, ducts and how you use it.
